You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth

– Kahlil Gibran

Max has always loved dogs, although he’s been a bit wary of larger dogs, and especially dogs that lick him, until lately. It was lovely to see him with our in-law’s dog at the weekend – he’s really warmed up to her and is much more confident around her all of a sudden. We went for a walk and Max just loved throwing her ball for her and watching her chase after it (although his throwing could use some work – most of the time she managed to catch it straight from his throw). I think this photo mid-throw just captures his excitement perfectly, and she looks equally excited too.

I’d love a dog, and have so many fond memories of growing up with one. I don’t think it’s something we can contemplate at the moment, but I’d like to think that maybe when our children are past toddler age it’s something we can consider.

That’s a lovely photo. We have a yellow labrador and she is Bear’s best friend. He was Just 3 when we got her and although it was hard, I’m really glad that we got her. When he’s riding his bike, she never leaves his side and he always has company even though he is an only child.

I adore this photo and it’s so sweet to see them play together. We have our little Lexi who is now 8 and J absolutely loves her and they are often inseparable #LivingArrows

Glad he is happier around them – especially as this one is almost as big as him! Lovely action shot. My girls are always asking for a dog they love them.

I love this photo, you can see how much fun they are both having. Dogs just love children, who like to the same thing over and over again, as they get lots of balls thrown!! x

My daughter’s the opposite, She seems to have never have had any fear around cats or dogs. We have to stop every time we see either so she can say hello. It’s only a matter of time before we’ll be forced to get one (oh so reluctantly of course…!) Fabulous photo and I’m so pleased to hear he’s growing more confident around dogs and having fun #LivingArrows

The children love dogs but we wouldn’t get one yet – maybe when they’re older and can be a bit responsible for it too. That photo is gorgeous – you can see just how happy Max is x

That’s a gorgeous shot – my kids would love a dog but we have such a small flat with no garden (plus 4 cats). Sarah

That’s such a fab capture!! Monkey is allergic to dogs so that kinda puts pay to that idea. Although Hubby is more of a cat person so I was always going to have a fight on my hands! I am sure that you will get yours once the kiddies are older and can do walkies! #LivingArrows
