With Ben rapidly approaching six months, weaning is on my mind, and one of my favourite baby food brands is Piccolo. They have a focus on big flavours and healthy ingredients, but I also love their approach to giving back. They already donate 10% of their profits to charity, and October sees the launch of their new campaign, One for One, which really steps up their charitable giving to the next level.
The One for One campaign will see Piccolo donate at least 100,000 pouches to thousands of hungry under 5s and the premise is simple. For every pouch purchased in supermarkets, Piccolo will donate a pouch to the Trussell Trust, the UK’s largest food bank, ensuring that the pouches reach thousands of young children who might otherwise have gone hungry.
Cat Gazzoli, Founder of Piccolo, says: “At Piccolo we have always been passionate about giving back, and that’s why we’re so proud to be launching our One for One campaign. Feeding babies can be stressful at the best of times, which is why we are determined to support those who really do need our help by donating a Piccolo pouch for every pouch bought. We think the work done by these charities is invaluable, so we want to support them however we can.”
