It’s lovely to have you with us at #SharingtheBlogLove! I love that we’ve had such a positive start to 2017 with so many new linkers – I hope that regular linkers are finding new blogs to enjoy, and that new linkers are enjoying finding new reads too.
If you’re new to #SharingtheBlogLove, these are mine and Laura’s favourite posts from last week’s linky. As part of the linky we’d like you to choose one post from each showcase post to head over and leave a comment to show them some extra blog love. It’s always lovely to take a look at our featured posts this week and see how many extra comments they’ve had from you guys!
Pregnancy and breastfeeding has such a huge impact on our bodies. I think the change in your body is one of the hardest things to adjust to as a new mum – it can often be like looking at a different woman in the mirror and that’s a tough realisation. I loved Louise’s post, Learning to Love my Post Baby Body, because it sums up exactly how I feel. I can see all those flaws in my body, and yes, they don’t make me feel great about myself, but I can’t help but look at them and realise all the positive things that have come along with those changes. And I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Becky is a fairly new linker to #SharingtheBlogLove and I’m so pleased to have her on board! I loved her post, From Becky to Mummy, which is a really positive tale of step-parenting. I think so often we hear about the trials and tribulations of being a step parent and it can often seem like a really daunting path to take, but I loved reading about Becky and her step-daughter’s relationship which has obviously developed so naturally.
Although some women love pregnancy and others hate it, I think we can all agree that the first trimester is unrelentingly awful! I love reading about people who are at about the same stage as me in their pregnancy, so I’ve been enjoying Helen’s weekly updates, as well as this post on Tips for Surviving the First Trimester when you already have children to look after. Honestly, it just brought it all flooding back for me, and I wish I’d known Helen’s ‘sniff the baby wipe’ technique for getting through a nappy change.
As the owner of a toddler, I loved Kirsty’s post, The A-Z of toddlers. Taking you all the way from A is for Attitude to Z is for Zoom, this had me smiling and nodding all the way through. And even made me rethink my plans to take Max to soft play this week (a lucky escape – what was I thinking?!)
Did you catch any of these last time? If not, please head over and give them a read and a comment!
