A big welcome to our weekly #SharingtheBlogLove Showcase. I hope you enjoy our featured posts here and find some great new blogs to follow along the way.
If you’re new to #SharingtheBlogLove, these are mine and Laura’s favourite posts from last week’s linky. As part of the linky we’d like you to choose one post from each showcase post (one from mine and one from Laura’s) to head over to and leave a comment to show them some extra blog love. It’s always lovely to take a look at our featured posts this week and see how many extra comments they’ve had from you guys!
With everyone having just gone through the whole ‘back to school’ process, I’m so conscious that next year Max will be starting school and that we need to get thinking about our applications. I thought Kirsty’s post, What to Look For when Viewing Primary Schools, was a really comprehensive look at what questions to ask, and tips for viewing and making your decision.
Everyone I seem to know moans about how useless their husband’s are around the house, but for me, it often feels like we’re the other way around! I get barely anything done around the house when I’m looking after the children, but if my husband has them on his own, all manner of household chores get ticked off the list. I loved Laura’s little tribute to her own superhero husband, Superhero Tendencies – it made me feel less alone in my struggle!
Like every blogger out there, I love autumn! Add in the fact that I live in Surrey, and Louise’s post, What We Plan on Doing in Autumn in Surrey, got me all excited. Pumpkin picking, apple harvesting, and seeing the autumn colours all come high on my list too. And there’s nothing like coming in from a brisk walk and warming up with a hot chocolate.
Going back to the starting school theme, I also thought this post, I haven’t taught my son the ABC, was spot on. I think 4 is such a young age to start school, and there seems to be so much expected of them so soon these days. I think there are so many more important things to focus on before starting school that I don’t think knowing your ABC matters one little bit.
Did you catch any of these last time? If not, please head over and give them a read and a comment!
