Sharing the Blog Love - Showcase 10

A big welcome to our 10th week of #SharingtheBlogLove and our weekly Blogger Showcase! Laura and I are so pleased to see so many of you each week, and we love that we get such a great variety of posts to choose from.

If you’re new to #SharingtheBlogLove, these are our favourite posts from last week’s linky. We love that each week we can choose a few favourites for you all to read, comment and show a bit of extra love!

Meme and Harri

Meme and Harri is one of my favourite blogs and Natalie’s post last week, What if I Fall, really resonated with me. I think as bloggers we all start out thinking we won’t take things too seriously, but it’s easy to find ourselves quickly caught up in stats - followers, page views, rankings. Taking the bold step of putting ourselves out there in the hope of working with brands is so difficult when you feel that your stats are low compared to others. For me, there is a definite uncertainty of whether I really want to make that step, but deep down I know that I’d love to. I definitely have that glimmer of ambition, but along with that comes the fear of failure - the combination which Natalie pinpoints so well. I know this will be a post that rings bells with so many bloggers out there!

Bubbablue and Me

I’m fast becoming a bit of an Instagram addict. Although at first I started it up just because it’s one more thing that you ‘should’ be doing as a blogger, it’s fast become my favourite social media platform and inspired a love of photography and capturing those everyday moments. I love reading about how other people use Instagram too, so Emma’s Rules for Instagram post was a fascinating read for me. Compared to lots of posts I’ve read on Instagram, this was such a refreshing read - dismissing the need for a theme, or photos which are too styled. Lots of things that I agreed with here, and some I didn’t, but that’s the interesting thing about posts like these - seeing how we all like to use things in a slightly different way. Oh, and if you’re not already following Emma, her own Instagram feed is fab - go and give it a browse and a follow if you like what you see!

Elsie Pop

We took our summer holiday early this year so I’ve been living vicariously and enjoying other people’s holiday posts. I love Italy, and Louise’s trip to the Amalfi Coast set my heart a-flutter with so many gorgeous photos - stunning sunsets, dramatic coastlines, and tempting cocktails. Elsie Pop is a fabulous craft blog with a focus on crochet, so I guess it’s unsurprising that Louise manages to find crochet inspiration everywhere - a yarn shop tucked away on a back street, and even inspiration in a pretty domed roof!

Burnished Chaos

We are really enjoying our National Trust membership this year and we are working our way around the properties in the South East. But the downside is that you tend to only explore the properties in your local area and miss out on ones further afield. I loved Alana’s post about their visit to Fountains Abbey in Ripon, North Yorkshire. If you’re anywhere close it looks like a stunning place for a day out. I love a ruin, and there are so many beautiful photos here of gothic archways, crumbling ruins, beautiful water gardens, and of course, the National Trust must have - a kids playground!

Did you catch any of these last week? If not, please head over and give them a read and a comment!
