Every year I see Instagram explode with beautiful shots of families set amongst huge swathes of purple lavender - and I'm definitely guilty of jumping on the lavender fields bandwagon. I'm not a great photographer, but there's something about the hazy purple background of a lavender field that elevates any photo. There are so many lavender fields in the UK that I'm always surprised when people say that they'd love to go but there isn't one near them. You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth – Kahlil Gibran   3 years and 4 months. It's such a funny age. In some ways such a little boy - scrapes on your elbows, a fierce sense of independence. And yet, there are moments like this, where, despite insisting that you don't need a nap, you crash out on the sofa, thumb in mouth, and you still seem like my little baby.

There's no denying that breastfeeding is hard work. Especially in those early days - it's often a painful, emotionally draining, and tiring experience. I felt that I was much better prepared second time around - I knew that it might be painful and difficult at first, and I'd promised myself that I wouldn't put so much pressure on myself to breastfeed, or worry about weight gain. But there's something primal that kicks in about the need to feed your baby, and despite my promises, all those hormones started up again and it was exactly the same emotional rollercoaster as I'd ridden before. Welcome to the 56th #SharingtheBlogLove linky! I can't believe August is here already - it seems like this year is just whizzing by, and July has gone quicker than any month yet!
