A Visit to Loseley Park Gardens

I'm always on the lookout for new gardens to explore and Loseley Park is one that's near to us, but I only discovered it for the first time last year. It was full of beautiful late summer planting and I love the small scale of it, but the fact that the way it was divided up into so many little garden rooms meant that there was lots to explore. We visited again this summer after a week of illness for Max. I've never seen him so wiped out - just lying on the sofa, sucking his thumb and having cuddles. He seemed a bit better, but I was conscious of not asking too much of him, so I thought the small ...

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth – Kahlil Gibran   It's felt like a really busy summer, but last week we had a really low key one and it was lovely to just take things a bit more slowly. A big welcome back to #SharingtheBlogLove linky! I hope you all had an amazing summer holiday (or if not, at least you made it through!) and that your returns to 'normal life' haven't been too much of a bump back down to earth. We had a wonderful summer, despite that rather disappointing weather. And seeing everyone's back to school photos has made me emotional already that it'll be Max starting school next year - I'm determined to make the most of this next year ahead before he stops being my little companion. I'm enjoying the feel of a fresh start though - autumn always feels like that for me - and it feels good to be back on board with #SharingtheBlogLove!     What's #SharingtheBlogLove ...

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth – Kahlil Gibran   There are certain milestone moments that you always remember as a parent. Ben has been smiling for ages, and for quite a while he's had a funny little laugh. More like a squawk really, but it's been let out in excitement and it's clear he thinks something is funny. But this week we heard a full on chuckle for the first time! It really is the best sound in the world - I can't wait to hear more of it!
