Sharing the Blog Love - Showcase 56

A big welcome to our weekly #SharingtheBlogLove Showcase. I loved reading all of your posts last week, there were so many great reads to keep me busy!

If you’re new to #SharingtheBlogLove, these are mine and Laura’s favourite posts from last week’s linky. As part of the linky we’d like you to choose one post from each showcase post (one from mine and one from Laura’s) to head over to and leave a comment to show them some extra blog love. It’s always lovely to take a look at our featured posts this week and see how many extra comments they’ve had from you guys!

Talking Mums

So often I read Mums talking about how guilty they feel about taking time for themselves. But it’s amazing the difference it makes when we do manage to carve out time to recharge the batteries, and you come back to normal life feeling refreshed. I loved Helen’s post, Can Having a Break Make You a Better Mum. Her girls trip away look perfect - stunning scenery, good company, wine and a hot tub - what more could you ask for?

Simply Marina

I spent a good few years living and working in London, but there are so many of the tourist things that I never got around to. I’ve always loved the look of the London Duck Tours, so Marina’s Day Out with London Duck Tours was a great read for me. The perfect way to see all the sights of London, from the road and from the river!

Meals and Makes

Anyone else out there got a super fussy eater? Max used to be great, but when he turned two that all went out of the window and we are really struggling at the moment. Kate’s Potato and Onion Oven Bake looks great though - no ingredients that Max won’t touch, tasty enough that I want to eat it too, and perfect comfort food for those autumn days (or for the rainy days we’ve been having lately!).

Someplace Strange

I’m really keen for us to have a dog in our family. I grew up with a dog that was my best friend and I think they make the perfect companion for children. Sadly for us it’s not the right time at the moment, but I really enjoyed Nikki’s post about Rehoming a Rescue Cat. Some great advice for anyone going through the rehoming process and for helping your new family member to settle in.

Did you catch any of these last time? If not, please head over and give them a read and a comment!
