How Do I Use Your Information?
Email Mailing List
Hot Pink Wellingtons maintains an email mailing list of those who opt-in to subscribe via a third-party server (Mailchimp). These emails are used to email blog newsletters, occasional updates, and promotional content. You are free to unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of your newsletter emails. Your email will never be passed on to third parties by Hot Pink Wellingtons, with the exception of competition winners, as outlined below.
Your details will only be passed on if you are the winner of a giveaway hosted on the website, and your permission will be asked for before this happens. Permission will be requested via email when you are notified of your competition win, and your details will be received and passed on via email, only to the brand for which Hot Pink Wellingtons is hosting the giveaway or competition. Once a period of one month has elapsed, your details and giveaway email notifications will be deleted from my personal email account. Hot Pink Wellingtons is not responsible for your details held by the brand once they have been passed on.
I love to receive comments on hotpinkwellingtons.co.uk. When you leave a comment on my website, the information collected, which may include names, email addresses and/or website URLs, will not be added to my mailing list, nor will it ever be passed on or shared with third parties.

I am committed to ensuring that my website contains content that is valuable and useful to my readers. To help me with this I have implemented Google Analytics Tracking on my website. This allows me to review anonymous data regarding the gender, age and interests of website visitors and adapt my website content to better reflect their needs. Although this information is collected through your Google ad settings, it is not provided to me in a personally-identifiable format. This means I cannot identify what information is about you, and I will never attempt to do so.
Website visitors who don’t want their data used by Google Analytics can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To opt-out of Analytics for the web, visit the Google Analytics opt-out page and install the add-on for your browser. Learn more about the opt-out and how to properly install the browser add-on here.

What are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored within your computer’s local storage when you visit the website. Cookies allow the website to recognise you as a user either for the duration of your visit (using a ‘session cookie’) or for repeat visits (a ‘persistent cookie’). They are not harmful and do not contain any information such as your home address, date of birth or credit card details.
I use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps me analyse data about webpage traffic and improve the website in order to tailor it to each user’s needs. I only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
Overall, cookies help me provide you with a better browsing experience, by enabling me to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives me access to your computer or any information about you, other than the information you choose to share with me.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. To change your cookie settings, or if you want to be notified each time a cookie is about to be used, you should amend the settings provided in your web browser to prevent me from storing cookies on your computer’s local storage.
