You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth
– Kahlil Gibran
Yesterday my little boy turned 3 years old! We asked him what he wanted to do and he said he wanted to go to the beach, so off we headed down to Camber Sands. We’d pretty much worn out the appeal of the beach by 2pm, so we stopped off at Sissinghurst Castle Garden on the way home for an explore. Max wasn’t in the best of moods for having his photo taken, but he asked me to take one of him sat on this chair in one of the garden’s most beautiful spots - for a boy who was insisting on “no photos mummy” just a few moments earlier, it’s amazing what a little poser he can be!

Aww it’s a gorgeous photo! I really loved Sissinghurst when I went during my mat leave but I think I missed the best of it so I’m planning on visiting again in late spring. Oh the benefits of working a four day week!! Hope you all had a fantastic day, we’ve only visited Camber Sands once but the dunes were lovely! Xx #LivingArrows

I love that he wanted to go to the beach for his Birthday and that his birthday is at a time of year when it’s pretty possible - I used to want to go to the beach in October for mine and it wasn’t quite as nice an occasion!! I love his face, it makes me happy and I wish I could share his photos every week in Living Arrows. I’m excited to see these photos each week when a sibling joins him! x
