You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth
– Kahlil Gibran
Yesterday we went for a walk at Winkworth Arboretum to see the autumn colours and it didn’t disappoint on that front. But Max announced he was tired about 5 metres into our walk, so it was a bit hard going in places. I always find that little things can perk him right up again, and when we discovered this wooden throne towards the end of our walk, I watched in amazement as our ‘tired’ little boy raced up to the top! He loved sitting up there so much that we had to drag him away as a queue was forming.

Just look at how happy he looks perched up there! I agree, it’s amazing how quickly something like that can make them ‘find’ energy! Looks like someone had a fab time. #livingarrows

That can be hard work when they are like that on a walk. Thank goodness you found something to cheer him up!

I love going to places like this and finding all the cute and scenic places for the children to sit - we ALWAYS have little tired feet too! x

Such a great picture. Isn’t it funny how they find some energy from somewhere for things like that! #livingarrows

I really need to try and get to Winkworth before all the leaves drop. Love this throne, he looks very happy on it! #livingarrows

Oh look at that proud face! Totally know the struggle with them wanting to give up walking after 5 minutes though haha x
