You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth

Gingerbread making is one of our Christmas traditions now - I love smelling that spicy fragrance wafting through the house, it just says Christmas to me. But it was definitely trickier this year - Max wanted to be fully involved with every step and was hugely impatient to get to the decorating stage. But I love this moment of him stirring the batter. Iit was so sticky and really hard to stir, and I loved seeing him get his hands dirty with it - something he never would have done last year!

It’s a lovely tradition! You wait until you have to pairs of little hands wanting to help and do it all!

A lovely tradition and a gorgeous photo. I’m planning to bake gingerbread biscuits with my eldest after school tomorrow. #livingarrows

I can see the man in him in this photo. He looks so grown up, so in the moment and the photo style is so different to your usual photos but I love it x
