A big welcome to our weekly #SharingtheBlogLove Showcase. I hope you enjoy our featured posts here and find some great new blogs to follow along the way.
If you’re new to #SharingtheBlogLove, these are mine and Laura’s favourite posts from last week’s linky. As part of the linky we’d like you to choose one post from each showcase post (one from mine and one from Laura’s) to head over to and leave a comment to show them some extra blog love. It’s always lovely to take a look at our featured posts this week and see how many extra comments they’ve had from you guys!
Passionfruit, Paws and Peonies
I feel like I’m a bit lost lately in terms of fashion - I looked in the mirror the other day and didn’t even recognise my reflection, so it’s no wonder I’m a bit baffled for how to dress at the moment. I loved Maria’s Autumn 2017 Style for Women Over 40 (even if I am a bit under 40!) - some lovely ideas for autumn including wrap dresses, leather jackets, and a really pretty A-line dress. If you’re after a bit of fashion inspiration, head over and have a read!
Little Hearts Big Love
3am is an hour I seem to be seeing a lot at the moment, so I completely understood Louise’s post, The Loneliness of 3am. It’s the time of night where I seem to lose any hope of getting a good night’s sleep, and suddenly your mind starts wandering, pondering over your problems. And yet my worries pale in insignificance compared to the ones Louise is facing with the date of her eldest daughter Jessica’s heart operation approaching. I have so much admiration for Louise and her family, and I’m always in awe of how strong she is as a mum.
Toby Goes Bananas
I have to admit that until the recent Blog Camp On Board, I’d never considered a cruise as being a family friendly holiday. But I’ve read so many posts on it now and it sounds like a great option combining a bit of luxury for the adults with excellent facilities for children too. I loved Sarah’s very balanced take on it with her post, Is a Cruise a Family Friendly Holiday?
The Rhyming Mum
I think when we become mums it’s inevitable that we compare ourselves to others - after all, we’re all finding our way and learning on the job, so it’s natural to look to other people to try to assess how we’re doing ourselves. But it’s such a damaging road to go down, and never helpful. I loved The Rhyming Mum’s Poem For All the Mums Having A Bad Day - it’s absolutely spot on and just lovely. If you’ve had a bad day recently (let’s face it, who hasn’t!), head over and have a read.
Did you catch any of these last time? If not, please head over and give them a read and a comment!

I liked the fashion post too. If I had lost some weight that’s how I’d be dressing too, but still need to shift quite a bit to be fitting into things like that and for them to look nice.
