Sharing the Blog Love - Showcase #67

A big welcome to our weekly #SharingtheBlogLove Showcase. I hope you enjoy our featured posts here and find some great new blogs to follow along the way.

If you’re new to #SharingtheBlogLove, these are mine and Laura’s favourite posts from last week’s linky. As part of the linky we’d like you to choose one post from each showcase post (one from mine and one from Laura’s) to head over to and leave a comment to show them some extra blog love. It’s always lovely to take a look at our featured posts this week and see how many extra comments they’ve had from you guys!

I seem to have gone for a bit of a holiday theme this week as so many of you have been away lately. I hope you enjoy this week’s posts.

Five Little Doves

Scotland has been on my holiday wishlist for a long time now. My grandparents were from Edinburgh, but I’ve never ventured than there, and there is such a lot of beautiful landscape to explore. Laura’s recent trip to Scotland with Forest Holidays looks absolutely incredible, and captures everything I’d hope for in a break - gorgeous scenery, lots of time outdoors, and just taking life a bit slower and enjoying the simple things. Laura’s photos are beautiful as always, and Scotland has shot right to the top of my list!

Little Ladies Big World

Another Laura, another holiday post, but this time further afield to Portugal. Laura’s post just captures what a family holiday in the sun is all about - plenty of time spent by the pool, and managing to relax as parents and just be the parent that you’d like to be more often, but life gets in the way. Beautiful photos which will make you want to get booking a trip to Portugal right now!

Toby Goes Bananas

Another place in the UK I absolutely love is the Lake District. We visited just before I got pregnant with Max but sadly we’ve not returned since, primarily due to Max’s resistance to walking! I loved Sarah’s post, Half Term in the Lake District, which looks over their stay. Some beautiful scenery and it showed me that it is possible to take smallish children to the Lake District - I just need to be a bit braver!

Mamma’s School

Following on from Sarah’s post, Sonia’s post, Hiking With Kids and Tips For Surviving It, was exactly what I needed to read! I’ve always enjoyed exploring outdoors and I love a long walk, but we definitely struggle with that now we have a 3 year old! I miss the days we could just pop him in the baby carrier and go. This was such a great read - loads of ideas which I’d never considered! I really hope they work some magic for Max and we can start to enjoy getting outside more.

Did you catch any of these last time? If not, please head over and give them a read and a comment!

So nice to read about everyone’s holidays. I really must take N up to the Lakes, although he’ll moan how far it is.

Ahh thank you so much Katy, we had the best time! You should definitely take a trip up there, if nothing else all that fresh air wiped out the kids! xx #sharingthebloglove
