A big welcome to our weekly #SharingtheBlogLove Showcase. I hope you enjoy our featured posts here and find some great new blogs to follow along the way.
If you’re new to #SharingtheBlogLove, these are mine and Laura’s favourite posts from last week’s linky. As part of the linky we’d like you to choose one post from each showcase post (one from mine and one from Laura’s) to head over to and leave a comment to show them some extra blog love. It’s always lovely to take a look at our featured posts this week and see how many extra comments they’ve had from you guys!
The Rhyming Mum
I’m not sure why it is that mums so often become the designated family photographers, but it happens to so many of us. I believe really passionately in making sure that you’re getting in front of the camera as well as behind it - these moments are passing us by all the time, and it’s so important to show you were there - whether you feel confident in your skin or not. I love this poem which really sums it all up and encourages you to get in the photo - throw the camera to someone else and make sure you’re featured in your family record!
Meals and Makes
I went to my first fireworks last week with Max - I wasn’t sure quite how he’d take it all, but they were an absolute hit! I’d love to make bonfire night a real event in our family, I have so many memories of it from my own childhood - bonfires, fairground rides, candyfloss, as well as the main event of the fireworks. I’m thinking about things we can make and do next year, and these Popping Bonfire Toffee Cakes look wonderful. I’ve bookmarked for next year!
Rice cakes and Raisins
Parenting is so hard, and I think we all have those days where nothing seems to go right and you feel like you’re failing at it all. I caught this post on one of those days for me, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. If you’ve had a bad one lately, head straight over to You’re Still Here now and I guarantee you’ll feel better after reading!
Lucy at Home
Competitions are a great way to bring more traffic to your blog and increase your readership, but I remember setting up my first competition and feeling really nervous! And even now, it can often seem like a lot of hassle. But reading Lucy’s post on 38 Ways Giveaways Will Give Your Blog More Business, I realise I need to say yes more often!
Did you catch any of these last time? If not, please head over and give them a read and a comment!

Great to have a round up, I loved the Rice Cake and Raisins piece most, I’m feeling utterly at sea, completely lost and reading that blog made me get myself together and book a night out with my husband. Making myself and my marriage a priority. Thanks to all those mummy bloggers out there who have helped me feel a little less lonely and lost #sharingthebloglove
